I grew up in Illinois, and it was insanely common here. You have to get uninsured driver coverage, or you're guaranteed to basically be out of luck once some Mexican without papers or registration or insurance runs into you.

There are TONS of violent psychopaths like this on the road in Illinois. Every week I'll get some liberal librarian in a Subaru Forester swerving out of her lane trying to swipe me or speed up when I try to pass them on the left or intentionally block your merge. It's a shame there are cameras everywhere otherwise a quick burst from a machine gun into some of the cars on the road would be a quick fix.
