Now 4chan asks for email verification
(boards.4chan.org)
> So for clarity, you do not have to verify your email address if you don't want to. If you are a new user, you can instead simply wait 15 minutes before posting. Lurk a thread, browse the site, or just come back later. After the wait, you can post threads and replies as normal. If you've been a user of 4chan for more than 15 minutes, the process should be seamless for you. If you are a new 4chan user, then verifying your email address bypasses the wait.
> You will need to accept 4chan cookies for any of these methods to work. Please ensure that your browser is not set to block cookies, or that you whitelist 4chan domains in any browser extensions you use which may block cookies. Should you choose to verify your email to bypass the wait, we will not retain long-term records of your email address. After the verification email has been sent, your email address will be purged from our servers.

15 minutes; becomes an hour.
An email address; becomes photographic ID.
If you want to register an email that will work for other services, you need to tie it to a phone number or pay for it with a credit card. They're going to get you one way or another if you use modern tech. I'm sure there's loopholes but you'll likely need to involve a third party or go somewhere with cameras to use those loopholes.
Any other old people on here remember when registering a Hotmail or Yahoo took about 30 seconds and required no 2FA bullshit or backup emails or anything?
yeah it's completely "retarded" today
