These people are ultimately fucked. Just listen to the way he talks about this. It's all about what these men are exposed to and the charisma of the guys they're listening to. He's only capable of thinking about this in terms of a propaganda battle. To him it's just about dominance of the airwaves. The notion of actually being right or wrong never enters the conversation.
Don't get me wrong, the propaganda battle is important. But it is not as important as, and it is informed by, the factual ideological battle. The pursuit of truth is paramount. Perhaps an ideology catches on not because the people get programmed by popular figures, but because the ideas actually ring true.
Propaganda isn't enough. You need to also be right, or else the world will always eventually rebel.
