It's different than it used to he. If you're a Trumper now, after everything that has already happened, your chances of seeing the light are just about gone. Doubly so if you're as deep into it as Q larp. Back in 2016 when everyone thought trump was the greatest thing since sliced bread, it made sense. He was bringing up hot topics we all agreed with. But now? The man literally said MIGA on stage. It's not even a meme anymore lol. He's betrayed everything he platformed off of since the day he got into office, and nobody is even saying anything different. Want proof? Candace Owens said something new and titulating for a conservative commentator and now her own are eating her alive and don't even listen to a fucking thing she has to say.
I've more faith in the left to see the light than conservatives. Leftists, at least, acknowledge that there are problems, and we actually agree with the left on many of those problems. Where we have dissonance is in the cause of those problems and the solution for them. Conservatives barely even notice an issue period. Most Italian fascists were former communists. A good amount of NSDAP members were former communists. Who actually ideologically fought against these people to the bitter end and never changed their colors? Reactionaries and conservatives. Ask mussolini if the monarchists and conservatives of Italy ever came to his aid, and didn't flee Italy like a bunch of rats when the armistice was signed. At least the partisans had actual fucking gumption.
We are, by our nature, a revolutionary fringe. This means that we repel reactionary conservatives like the opposite pole of a magnet and that's why we by and large will not win any favor with them, ever. Fascism has *never* gotten along with center right conservatism. What are leftists? Also revolutionaries, just the wrong kind. Hence why leftists are more likely to end up attracted to what we espouse. I jumped ship about 8 years ago after being a former communist myself.
Conservatism by its very nature means conservation of the status quo. Its not actually a right wing ideology unless the current status quo is right wing.
