Italy just didn't have the same drive to colonize. That and Italy wasn't much of a military power in post Renaissance Europe. That falls on Britain, France, Spain, and although they weren't a colonial power because they didnt give a rats ass about a navy, the HRE (later Prussia)

Italy was an enormous cultural power though. That can't be overstated. What they lacked in military strength they made up for tenfold with the Renaissance alone, but much more. Italy doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

True and factual, but both the germanic and the romance spheres have their own issues. The germanic sphere is cursed with godlessness and sexual degeneracy while the romance sphere is cursed with what you already mentioned. Although they do foray into each other pretty often as well.

I can make a testament to what you've said though. You're right. Though having been around all of Northern Europe and the mediterannean, the amount of sexual degeneracy in the north is far and away more than the south. Different jewish poisons for different places.
