That's the struggle. It got better for me and I'm sure you will persevere as well. I played the wagecuck game for about 15 years before the stars aligned and I was able to buy my family land and build on it. Had to get a loan on the land but luckily had cash from selling our old house to build most of our new house with my own hands (still a work in progress and likely will be until I die). Make a game plan and get it rolling, don't let your worthless parents hold you up. Unapologetically ask for money from them if you need to and just demonstrate how much life sucks in a post-boomer world, just make sure you have your house in order (no addictions, working full time, etc) and they won't be able to turn you down. Luckily I've worked past that point by being self employed, but if I needed money tomorrow I would ask my parents for it, because this struggle is mostly their fault.
I am about at that point. We avoid daycare because the standards are abysmal and still expensive so we are pretty stretched trying to raise kids.
Thanks for sharing your path, it gives me motivation to get out of the w2 grind. I would like to network with other young parents to work together and create a community.
