# **The Situation**

It sometimes seems almost unbelievable that only four years have passed since the National Socialist seizure of power. How long ago it seems today, when the Red Massacre ravaged the streets of our cities, when 7 million unemployed were being left to suffer in misery, when one farm after another was put under the hammer and when Germany, defenceless and dishonourable, was the Cinderella of the world. This all happened only four years ago? The mere fact that this question is at hand, that we can hardly imagine the conditions before the advent of the law, is impressive proof of the overwhelming magnitude of what has been achieved since then. It is extremely important for our political leaders to remind themselves and the people to recall what the Führer promised immediately after seizing power. On the evening of January 30, 1933, he and the entire Reich Cabinet issued a proclamation in which a double four-year plan was drawn up. The proclamation states the following about the four year Plan:

“The national government will solve the great task of reorganising the economy of our people with two major four-year plans:

**Saving the German farmer** to preserve the nation's food supply and livelihood.
**Saving the German worker** through a massive and comprehensive attack on unemployment

In 14 years, the November parties have ruined the German peasant class.
In 14 years they have created an army of millions of unemployed.

The national government will implement the following plan with iron determination and tenacity:

Within four years, the German farmer must be rescued from impoverishment.
Within four years, unemployment must be finally overcome.

At the same time, this will create conditions for the flourishing of the rest of the economy.

With this gigantic task of restructuring our economy, the national government will combine the task and implementation of restructuring the Reich, the states, and the municipalities, in administrative and fiscal terms.
Only then does the idea of federal preservation of labor service and settlement policy become reality.
The concern for daily bread will also be the concern for the fulfilment of social obligations in the event of illness and old age.
The economy of this administration, the promotion of work, the preservation of our heritage and the promotion of individual initiative are at the same time the best safeguard for avoiding any experiment that could endanger our currency.”

The appeal continues:
“In terms of foreign policy, the national government will see its highest priority in the protection of human rights and thus the regaining of freedom of our people. By being determined to put an end to the chaotic situation in Germany, it will help to integrate a state of equal value and thus also of equal rights into the community of the other nations. We are committed to maintaining and strengthening peace, which the world needs more today than ever before.
Let the understanding of all others also help to ensure that this, our most sincere wish for the good of Europe, indeed the world, is fulfilled.
As great as our love for our country is as the bearer of our weapons and the symbol of our great past, we would be happy if the world, by limiting its armaments, would never again make it necessary to increase our own weapons.
But if Germany is to achieve this political and economic resurgence and conscientiously fulfill its obligations to the other nations, one decisive action is necessary: Overcoming the Communist Disintegration of Germany.
We men of this government feel responsible before German history for the restoration of an orderly national body and thus for the final overcoming of class madness and class struggle.
We do not see any classes, but one German people, the millions of its farmers, citizens and workers, who will either overcome the worries of this time together or else succumb to them together.”

Today, after four years, no one can claim that even a single word of this call has not been fulfilled. But beyond that, tremendous achievements have already been made. Since the world did not make use of the generous offer of arms limitation, Germany's equality and security were restored by the creation of a true people's army. An agreement with England brought us the re-emergence of a strong war fleet. An air force that has been created from scratch secures our peace against unforeseen attacks from the skies. Huge autobahns are being built everywhere and have largely already been completed. Monumental buildings in a new, truly German style, will bear witness to National Socialist creativity for thousands of years to come. The press has been purified of its Judaisation and has become a competent instrument serving the people and the Reich. The entire art and cultural life in all its ramifications was also raised from Jewish stagnation to German design. German national income increased by more than a third. The German multi-state system was eliminated and a unified, powerful empire was created. All in all: our fatherland was cast in a form that had never existed before so cleanly, gracefully and powerfully.
Indeed, on January 30th the Führer could proudly point to this gigantic achievement, which was even expanded on this occasion by a further expansion of the Reich reform and by several important laws.
All this happened and is happening in the midst of a world filled with envy and hatred. Just as it was not easy for our movement to break through the hatred and the lack of understanding of the parties, it is not easy for the Third Reich today to break through the Jewish-Bolshevik hatred and its conscious or unconscious democratic auxiliary troops in the world. Above all, it is the Jewish-influenced press that clouds the minds of the Folk and tries to pacify the world with the most absurd horror stories.
A particularly telling example of this is the Moroccan that kept the world in suspense for a week last month. A few Jewish villains had suddenly invented the fairy tale that Germany had landed troops in Spanish Morocco and was building barracks and fortifications there. The entire state press of the world took up this nonsense without thinking, screamed and raged against the "peace-breaking" Germany and already dreamed of Anglo-French naval measures. Despite the most embarrassing inquiries and commissions to the high diplomatic authorities, not a single German soldier was sent to Morocco, let alone German barracks and fortifications. Until the Führer intervened and restored peace, whereupon even the French press had to sheepishly state as a result of the investigations that not a word of the whole fraud was true and that not a single German soldier, let alone German barracks and fortifications, could be found in the whole of Morocco.
As I said, it is not easy for National Socialist Germany to survive against so much lies, hatred and stupidity. But that's a good thing. Struggles like this have made the movement strong within. Even today, it only contributes to keeping our senses and our fighting spirit alive. But we are all the more in awe of the work of the Führer, who, despite all this resistance, has placed Germany back in the circle of nations and led the internal reconstruction to such enormous goals.

I think there are translators that can do OCR (optical character recognition). But I've found most translation tools lose a bit of the essence of a sentence, and sometimes miss the mark entirely
