I'm assuming the cuts in runtime was entirely so movie theaters could get more screenings in a day, therefore the potential for greater profits. I gotta wonder then where the shift came where movies with runtimes up to three hours then became tolerable for the kikes.

Probably around the time that they shifted how long it took between box office and home video. It used to be like over a year after a movie he was in theaters before it came out. Some jewish MBA probably came up with a formula that showed the longer the movie was the more likely people had to buy it because they missed parts going to the bathroom.

I remember when home video really took off there would be editions of the 'theatrical cut' along with the 'extended/director's cut'. I imagine at some point the moneychangers realized that people weren't buying both editions, so having all that extra inventory produced was just fodder for future bargain bins.

In part. The other part is that the synagogue of satan much desires to twist beautiful things so they become ugly. Editorial authority is one of their favorite ways to do this: they can cut, cut, cut until the result is garbage, then claim credit if it makes money, and blame the original author if it fails.
