it was a combination of no usury, reunification of southern spain and the discovery of Latin America where all those spices, cocoa and tobacco could be exported to the west that made the Spainards the richest empire of their time

Not all founding fathers were Masons, but I would agree that Masonry probably just originated as clubs for well-to-do men to network and then the jews realized it would be the perfect middle management golem factory, so they co-opted masonic organizations. The further you go into Masionry and Judaism, the more they resemble one another, and the more and more their Gnostic and Antinomian nature is revealed.
