There were a few really good shows about the satanic panic back in the 80’s and 90’s, this Oprah episode was decent, but the best coverage I saw was on Geraldo Rivera’s show. He had some important people on that special, head of the Los Angeles branch of the FBI, Ted Gunderson was there, he investigated many satanic ritual sacrifices/murders back in the 80’s. Also, CIA satanist, US Army Lt. Col. Michael Aquino was on there defending satanists against the panic, just as he did on Oprah’s show…..go figure, that dude was directly named as the main culprit in the presidio military base’s Daycare center child rape case, where kids accused staff of sexually abusing them in weird satanic type rituals, 58 of those kids showed clear physical (and mental) signs of sexual abuse, some of the victims were infants, 4 of the kids had contracted chlamydia, some had vaginal discharge, rectal lesions, rashes, etc….Strangely enough, the Army’s investigation was dropped due to “insufficient evidence of a crime” despite there being a plethora of evidence showing molestation definitely occurred. The parents sued the base for 60 million dollars in damages, pretty sure they won, but sometime before all that, a building next to the daycare center that held a bunch of records for the base burned to the ground, a short while after that, the daycare center burned down also, which probably means all evidence of the crimes had been destroyed. Not shocking Michael Aquino got away with his crimes, dude was involved in the Mk-Ultra program early on in his career, he was a psychological warfare specialist who directed many psyops, he was allegedly linked to operation gladio, there’s solid potential for him being the Zodiac Killer (same area he lived in at the same time he lived there), he was good friends with the founder of the church of satan Anton Levay, he showed his own satanist beliefs very publicly throughout his life, he even founded the Temple of Set after he left the church of satan because unlike Anton, he wasn’t just being an edgy atheist, he believed in the power of ritual magik and wanted to surround himself with likeminded psychopaths to take those rituals further, many of the folks who joined the Temple of Set were in the military and I’m pretty sure several of them were officers like Michael. The satanic panic wasn’t a result of irrational fear, Americans were seeing evidence of widespread and organized satanic networks, media did their best to discount the panic just like they did with pizzagate.
Incredible information here. Thanks. Had no idea this particularly sordid chapter of US Army history. I also was witness to major transgressions of us army ethics and duty. At the time it was localized and not reflective of the overall pathology of the us army. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case.
