Well, yeah. It's Florida, assume there are gators in just about any body of water.

I see people swimming in lakes here all the time. There even a lake near by called Gator Lake I see people swimming in.

Oh for sure. I'm Florida born and raised. It's not uncommon to be swimming near them. It's basically impossible to avoid. They usually aren't too aggressive unless it's nesting season and you stumble upon a female with eggs or babies.

To be honest, I worry more about the Alligator Snapping Turtles and the pythons when I'm out on the water, that and water moccasins.
