They're not omnipent masters of the universe. You can't just axe a dude like this (especially one in a country like Poland) without causing a massive uproar worse than keeping him around, unless you formulate a plan over an extended period of time to get rid of him that the majority won't find suspect.
Why wasn't he killed off earlier? Simple. He just wasn't particularly noticed, he was not that popular until recently. They fuck up and make plenty of mistakes and that allows people like this to squeeze in. It's not quite the same as america where they quite literally have eyes everywhere and absolute domination over every party. How did hitler gain power? The jews in charge of the Weimar Republic slipped up, didnt notice in time, and fucked themselves by reaching a precipice where, when he *did* become popular, killing him off probably would have put germans in absolute chimpout mode and the holocaust would have been a reality, so at that point the jews were in a catch 22.
Same thing could happen with this guy. But it could be theater all the same. He doesn't have the same sway as hitler, but he's popular enough that his death could have more problems than benefits and they're likely hoping that he'll fizzle out into obscurity (happens more often than not, sadly).
You know how artists are more popular after their death? It's the same deal with politicians. Do you think JFK would be as particularly noteworthy, and do you think the things that he did would be as well known if he did not get assassinated? Most likely not. Thankfully for the jews that killed him though, JFK was an American president, and even though his assassination blew the door wide open to a lot of shit almost immediately, it happened in the land of people who memory hole almost everything within a few years at most and never do anything whatsoever under any circumstance with that information. Jews can do whatever the fuck they want in america. It's harder in other places where people actually get pissed off.

Hitler survived 50 whopping assassination attempts, i don't think they were legitimately afraid of a reprisal
but prior to his election they probably didn't see him as a genuine threat, that or they were over-confident as usual in their hubris that the germans will simply bow down to whichever paid conservative shill (or communist shill) they advertised to the goyim
Weren't a large majority of his assassination attempts after already taking power? And weren't they mostly pretty unorganized and grabasstic and done by random people and not state actors?
The only assassination attempt I can recall from prior to was the infamous shooting that killed Horst Wessel. I'm sure there were more, but it really seems that overall the Weimar Republic didn't pay that much mind to the NSDAP. Well, that and the fact that the freikorps were strong arming the fuck out of the Weimar government. One of the other numerous far "right" parties in Germany would have taken sway if hitler died and there wasn't really a way to win here. It was effectively set in stone for fascism to win in time regardless because of circumstance, and the fact that mussolinis Italy was a shining role model, and a giant elephant in the room, to virtually everyone of what Germany *could* become. Because before Germany had its miracle, Italy had theirs, and Italy set that blueprint already a long time before hitler was even relevant

and yet the people were overjoyed to hear the next day he actually survived, sometimes a botched assassination attempt actually helps you achieve popularity real fast
