In a sense they're right: we didn't *evolve* to what we are - God made us this way.
God made men physically stronger and gave us stewardship over creation and authority over women. It's on us not to abuse what He has entrusted to us. Physically and emotionally, God made women to be mothers, to bear children and care for them. They are to submit to their own husbands.
When men and women deny their God-given roles, they are denying God, and hurting society and themselves.
