On this page is the proposed site map.

I found the spot on Google maps matching that field with the funny cutout in it: https://maps.app.goo.gl/TqUmaToxKn8aqDMAA

Asheville is literally ***SEVENTY MILES AWAY***.

---

I can't believe we're doing this again... Just *believing* things because they tell you exactly what you want to hear.

Not only does the lithium mine have fuck all to do with Asheville but even the proposed site doesn't take out any existing sites or structures. They bought a bunch of empty land.

Not anywhere, *nowhere*, does anything exist about a lithium mine near Asheville that is older than last week. This was blatantly invented and spread by malicious entities to fuck with your brain and make you look foolish.

All the results about a lithium mine are referring to the project in Gaston County. Seventy miles away.

The thing is I don't think anyone can speak the truth about what is happening. Disasters like this focus on B-roll footage nonstop of rubble. I have no actual idea how extensive the damage is. Are we seeing just three or four towns? Nobody has talked about Tennessee and I have no idea what happened there either.

I lived in tornado alley and whenever a big tornado would hit you would think an entire city was wiped off the map, but in reality it would be a narrow strip of destruction.

Everyone keeps talking about Asheville. Asheville is a metropolitan area. It's a major city. It has tons of big-ass office buildings. It's not some rinky dink town with one grocery store and the local bar is the busiest spot on any given night. Asheville is also super liberal and went overwhelmingly for Biden as well, it's not some salt of the earth wholesome locals, it's probably full of Californians and shit.

I'm sure FEMA and the National Guard is there and actually helping on some level. As fucked and inefficient as government can be, whatever they're doing we just don't see that because it's more engaging to literally talk about *shooting down helicopters* because a Blackhawk *blew over a tent.*

One side is motivated to say the government is a faultless entity and defend anything they do. The other side is motivated to pretend to be persecuted at every turn by the government and claim literally nothing they do could ever be okay. The truth nearly always lies in both camps.

In reality the situation is probably more like this: local civilians are in the best position to apply immediate aid and coordination in a local area, but they also do not have resources, funding, or expertise. Government is big, inefficient, and bureaucratic and while it can provide vastly more resources and funding and has access to experts, it always fails and fucks up on the local level. It frankly takes both entities operating together. No, I do not trust the local rednecks to go fix downed power lines or move heavy truck convoys. No, I do not trust the government to send resources where they are most needed or to do anything in a timely or efficient manner. Yes I think locals are far more motivated and care a lot more than someone from out of state and is willing to put in much more effort... No, I don't think everyone working for FEMA is a cackling demon literally killing people intentionally.

It's like the FEMA trailers. Locals can't provide that. That's a huge operation to give people housing. Good! Except the trailers were full of toxic bullshit because of a shitty contractor with no oversight using Chinese manufacturing and government contracts are pure fucking trash. Bad! But it's a fixable problem.

In many ways, when people talk about the problem of disinformation, they're totally correct. The problem is our populace is outrageously fucking stupid and lazy and will find it easier to believe anything their preconceived notions agree with and will fabricate bullshit to try to prove it. Ans anything that doesn't fit is fake or a conspiracy. If we had a more intelligent bunch of people they *would* be wary of anyone lying to them to serve any given agenda and this wouldn't be an issue.

Shit like this lithium mine is a perfect example. It is just *believed* because it fits what someone wishes to be true.
