I can't believe we're doing this again... Just *believing* things because they tell you exactly what you want to hear.
Not only does the lithium mine have fuck all to do with Asheville but even the proposed site doesn't take out any existing sites or structures. They bought a bunch of empty land.
Not anywhere, *nowhere*, does anything exist about a lithium mine near Asheville that is older than last week. This was blatantly invented and spread by malicious entities to fuck with your brain and make you look foolish.

All the results about a lithium mine are referring to the project in Gaston County. Seventy miles away.
First I saw it talking about "Gaston County". I looked up the county Asheville is in and it's Buncombe. "That's odd, but maybe they touch and it's on the border..."
Turns out Buncombe and Gaston are separated by two more counties.
Once I knew "Gaston" I just cruised around on Google Maps looking for open plots of land and found that little funny field.
