Huh… you know I’m looking into it and they can’t even agree on one definition of “species” however a common one is:
“a group of living organisms consisting of similar individuals capable of exchanging genes or interbreeding.”
But then according to science different species are not supposed to be able to interbreed, if they can breed they are a sub-species. So why are tigers and lions or horses and donkeys considered different species with the ability to interbreed?
“Lions and tigers are two different species. They look different, they have different lifestyles, they vocalize differently, and they generally live on different continents, and have genetic traits specific to them.”
I retract my previous statement. You are correct, we are a different species according to their own rules.
The reason lions and tigers are different species is because the offspring are sterile. If mixed-race black/white children were sterile, blacks and whites would be same genus/different species. That isnt the case, they can breed true (in fact, most america "blacks" probably have more white or jew in them than negro), so they are the same species. However, I thin its more of a breed thing, like dogs.
