They are certainly schizophrenic, but this is a real dilemma for them. They need to look like the victims to Western audiences, but they need to look strong to not demoralize their own soldiers. Unfortunately for them today thanks to social media it's not possible to serve one propaganda to the West and another propaganda to their own troops.
