If someone fucked you over, you'd literally get into a fight with them. If it was a woman, it'd be a one sided fight. Then it'd be settled.
Now the police come in and destroy people's lives if you handle interpersonal conflict yourself, so people are free to do anything they want to you that isn't illegal (and even some illegal things that won't get prosecuted) because they know you can't retaliate.
