Reminder that in the old testament it says:
"You shall not give any of your children to offer them to Molech, and so profane the name of your God: I am the LORD."
-Leviticus 18:21

And while for Christiens this is a no-brainer, jews literally argue:
"So we can't *give* children to be offered (by the priests) but we can just *do it ourselves* and it's fine! Yay, we tricked God again!"
