Sad thing is, the original redpill sub was 100% "you must make yourself chad physically, through hard physical labor, and the process of doing so will make you chad mentally". It was a reaction to the PUA stuff, both how lame it felt and how ineffective it was in practice.

The redpill has become really gay the last few years. I don't think the redpill was so much a reaction to PUA as it was applying PUA techniques (90% of which boil down to social skills) more holistically to dating.
