I've heard this claim a lot but is there a source on it? Not asking in a redditoid manner, I'm actually intrigued and want to learn more.
I know the ainu/jomon look superficially caucasian, but the genetics show that they're really just east Asian with a prehistoric east eurasian phenotype. Their closest relatives are siberian natives, and they never evolved mongoloid features because they were cut off from the rest of east Asia. Although ancient north eurasian admixture could be a culprit here.
Was there a migration of indo Europeans into Japan that was contemporaneous with the yayoi migration?
