The SK birth rate is the absolute worst. They've sunk billions into fertility programs to no avail. Without trend change, NK will win handily in 100 years.
Why is their birth rate so awful? Feminist capitalism. Women get respect for career accomplishments, as men do. Neither men nor women get respect for *being parents*, the most essential activity for any society.
Capitalism becomes feminist automatically, because everybody needs a reason to be respected by their peers. Unless your society carefully maintains the high status of motherhood, pushing respect hierarchies into exclusively the money/fame sphere leads all people astray.
Judeo-american occupation will do that to a country. Japan has been similarly neutered.
