Basically the same in every western country, and the governments do seize kids relatively arbitrary and put them in foster homes. Many such cases were it goes horribly wrong.

If you think about it, most people won't even notice that the laws are like they are. A man and a woman have a baby together, and unless the baby obviously look like it isn't theirs nobody will question who the mother or father is. Hence no need for testing.

There are no known cases were they have rigged a test to claim someone isn't the biological father. Evey time the government seize a child they make up some excuse about child abuse with questionable proof, but won't deny who the biological father is.

The real jewery here is to shift focus away and pretend that it only happens in France.
