In part, yes, but I've heard that it's mostly about the "size". It makes sense, given that from what I've seen those people tend to be hardcore liberals, the Reddit types with the dyed hair and the "this machine kills fascists" stickers. Could possibly also have something to do with them (black males) being inherently scary (tall, pure muscle, violent, dumb as a box of rocks), but I'm not much for the whole "ooh women need to be shown their place" crowd. It is kind of like the Asian thing, though I've seen in that case more an even split between having a racial preference and being plain weird about it.
