The story of Minecrafts development is also the story of being a White man

You skipped the part where his marriage fell apart, he became heavily depressed, and in a bout of despair and escapism (ironic), he agreed to sell his company and game to Microsoft so he didn't have to deal with it anymore. He would have been wealthy anyway, but selling out is what made him a billionaire, and what freed him to eventually emerge as based.
2014 (v1.8) was when Mojang added the "Alex" avatar. This was shortly *before* the sale to Microsoft.
Source: I was a big-time minecraft autist in 2014, one of the first things I tried to do with the game was mod it.
* White man has to build civilization by himself
* Constantly harassed by desert-dwelling explosive creatures
* Big-nosed villagers constantly rubbing their hands give you bad deals
* Golems are loyal to the villagers, even if they were created by the player
* Tall black creatures steal your blocks and attack you if you look directly at them
* Literally called "Mein Kraft"

Eh, I don't really see much wrong with it to be honest, at least the pc version (the console and phone versions are directly produced by Microsoft from a different studio in the USA and are quite jewed).
Giving Microsoft your dime is the main issue with minecraft today, but the core game is still fine. Pirating is your friend.
Used copy of the playstation 3 version, perhaps. Microshart neglected Playstation for the (((bedrock edition))) update. Either that, or Sony told them to fuck off.
Get the console version. It's stuck on 1.13.1, so none of the modernized shit that took the soul out of it (though if it stopped at 1.16 I'd've been delighted) you get splitscreen and a few other interesting things too. It's got a few framerate issues though.
There's probably a mod that restores the original method on the forums. The game is 10x better with mods. A lot of them simply add more types of prefabs that can spawn, for instance, or more items etc.
If it were an additional method of collecting water it would have been fine. It's model and mechanics suggests it's a dew collector (does it work faster when it rains?). But yeah, they should have kept in the option to fill jars from a river. More annoying is how much 'heat' those things generate. It makes sense why a generator running would attract zombies, but a plastic drum with a tarp funneling into it shouldn't be noticable at all to a zombie. Yet have a couple of water collectors and you'll be dealing with screamers every 10 minutes.
Minecraft ruined gaming imo...there hasn't been anything good produced by the industry since, including out of Japan. All the kids buy and care about ever since Minecraft and Fortnite is these bullshit faggot "games". Minecraft is shit, who cares if he was "based". So were so many Japanese developers
