Oh, I'm well aware of their symbolism in fantasy, it actually goes further back than Kabbalah, with a lot the symbolism being blatantly Gnostic (which is the root of Kabbalah, it was never a Hebrew ideology, but something out of Babylon and Egypt). A lot of japanese media at least blatantly uses Gnostic symbolism, though I think thats more of a "monkey see, monkey do" with them copying what they see jews in the west doing. For instance, in final fantasy 7 there is a character named Sephiroth who's goal is to merge everyone's souls with his by dropping a meteor into the planet (literally tikkum olam salvation via destruction). I have no idea if the jews had a hand in that game, the japanese were simply using kabbalah/gnosticism for the aesthetic, or the few based japanese were trying to warn everyone about the jew's plan's via video game.
