Genetic testing shows that jews are their own genetic type. Not really semitic nor European. jews consider themselves above all, a chosen people. There are 3 main subgroups. Ashkenazi have non jewish genes related to Europeans. Sephardi jews have North African and Mediterranean genes. Mizrahi have DNA from the Arabian Peninsula.
