Eh, no. His is opposed to the idea of heavily denaturalized properties. He wants nature to flourish and doesn't believe having homogeneous looking suburbs as in the US are a good look. The intention is good, but practically it's not feasible.
When grass is allowed to grow too much, it can get 2 meters high. That area is basically impassable, and things will grow that are thorny and nasty. It's basically lost habitable area.
You can circumvent that by growing a lot of trees, but it takes time.
In Hungary you can immediately identify gypsy homes because they look like shit, no garden, a lot of garbage, clothes hang on the fences. So clearly he wants something else, but we have an example of how to do it wrong. "Doing nothing" is not the solution, "doing it better" is.

Funny thing is, every single farmhouse I've ever seen had a nice bit of lawn as a buffer between the house and the fields. Guess he thinks Midwestern farmers are city boys now.
