Yeah you know everybody loves to hack on boomers for being the way they are, but if *you* had lived for 60+ years brainwashed by the same programming day in and day out, with no convenient access to an alternative source of information like we have in the internet today, would you have turned out different? Some people still would have, but not as many.
It's frustrating but it's true. I think the whole idea that people can, in basically isolation, reinvent their thoughts, is just more hyper individualist libertarian nonsense. We live in a society and it's why communication, media, and mentorship are so powerful at influencing people.
Few people, even among our Movement truly understand the magnitude of the power of the mass media and *just how much* control it has over people. Humans are very visual creatures, and that is why oftentimes people watch a *movie* of something and then accept it as abject fact. And can never be persuaded otherwise, in many cases. This is also why Adolf refers to the broad masses as "a vacillating crowd of human children" in his *Collapse of the Second Reich* chapter, in which he delves into the psychology of the masses (again, highly recommend). This is how things like the holohoax get so ingrained into the minds of everybody; they watch schindler's list and then suddenly no amount of logic and reasoning can convince them that it's simply an emotionally charged fabrication and the holohoax is just not true.
