Grass is one of the worst things you can grow on your property unless livestock are eating it. If you have nothing but a cat or dog, why the fuck are you growing grass? It's not best for the soil, you can't eat it, it provides no shade. The fact USA has laws and regulations and you will literally have police come after you or court summons for not maintaining useless grass is gay

Horrible Old Assholes are the fucking worst. They bitched about clover and dandelion growing in my yard so every year now I buy a sacks of clover and dandelion seeds and spread them throughout my neighborhood on my early morning walks.
Monoculture lawns are fucking retarded. You have to add a nitrogen fertilizer to them in the spring because you killed all the clover which would have put nitrogen into the soil. You have to put a phosphorus and potassium fertilizer on the in the fall to help the grass overwinter because you raked up all the fucking leaves that would have insulated the yard and put phosphorus and potassium in the soil when they decomposed.
It doesnt need to be this way. Prior to WWII lawn seed contained clover seed, the more the merrier too. Even mixes were pricier than ones that were heavier on the grass. The trouble was during WWII a couple of our chemical companies were working on developing compounds to use in chemical warfare. They wanted to wipe out the german grain crops. They invented broad leaf herbicides. They spent a bunch of money on research and they wanted to be able to sell their invention but there was a problem.
Broad leaf plants were actually desirable. So they ran a huge ad campaign to vilify clover, dandelion, bittercress, chickweed,burdock, henbit, etc. Basically everything that flowered, was edible, or improved soil quality was suddenly undesirable. They also paid off scientists to pump out studies talking about how safe and great their poison was.
They sold poison to kill the food that God gave us. Then they sell more poison because the first poison they sold broke the natural cycle.

I merely recognized that the NORMIE NPC American suburban concept of the most rational and intelligent uses of land are foolish and outdated.
