The fact that the old guys do not have grandchildren to spend their time with, and are so lonely that they are prostituting themselves for shekels out of boredom is dystopian on every level

On one hand, those "forgotten" old folk have something to do in their free time than just passively consume media

on the other... they really should've hang out with their own flesh and blood (family) rather than be tourist guides/granddads to some american gaijins for a handful of shekels (and a meal or drink)

to be completely honest its fucked but honestly its still better than America where older folk are basically either shackled to their corporate job or the TV (if retired)

honestly if anything this video made me realize i need to spend more time with my family

You see a 30 second video of some guy and just assume a gazillion things about him. He might have a massive family for all you know and spends a lot of time with them.
