I like cats because their personalities exist on a normal distribution. A few cats really suck and a few cats are awesome but most just act like... cats. In other words you know what you're getting.

The problem with dogs is they exist on a bimodal distribution and (at least in my experience) mostly suck with the exception of a few really good ones.
