In every war, you must be explicit with yourself about what it is you are fighting for.
It MUST be something positive that has some enormous benefit to yourself.
Example: the Revolutionary War was fought to get Great Britain to acknowledge the independence of America. In order to achieve that end, they didn't have to kill all the British. They just had to win enough battles and make enough allies that the British would rather leave them alone. Of note, the Americans did NOT want to leave the trade network of the British, and the British felt the same. By making the focus of the revolutionary war very specific and clear, and being clear with their enemy, they were eventually able to achieve that condition.
If you make your goal the complete and utter annihilation of your enemy -- and as far as I know, only the ANGLO-SAXONS were ever able to accomplish that in removing the britons from the world -- then you MUST understand WHY your future depends on that success. Otherwise, you just end up becoming a crazy idiot who has nothing to live for.
Another thing to consider -- some war goals will ATTRACT compatriots and make your own side much more bold and daring and effective in the war. Others, not so much. IE, for the British, they wanted to maintain America as a subjugated colony. There really wasn't much benefit to that for them, and so they weren't really willing to sacrifice everything to achieve that goal.
Here are some goals worth fighting for:
* FAMILY / RACE. Being able to marry (opposite sex) and bear as many children as you can, and especially to raise them the way you see fit. Along with this -- having enough people to marry, or living in a culture where there are viable options, and plenty of them. Men who can't marry because they are poor or lower class, for instance, are willing to fight for the right to marry. So don't be surprised if poor / ugly men are willing to kill handsome men who hoard women just so they get a better opportunity. Also -- fight against those who spoil or steal potential mates!
* LAND. Not just a place to live, but a place to own, where you are the exclusive lord of that piece of land, free to do with it what you wish. More especially, the right to keep that land in your family, to use it to create wealth and independence, etc... The Germans in WWII were willing to fight for "breathing space" simply because their population was rapidly growing and forming families and they knew that land was worth fighting for!
* CHURCH / RELIGION. I won't go in much detail here, except to say that rather than fighting for a particular religion, it's much easier to attract people to the idea of fighting for the right to worship according to the dictates of their conscience. People who try to force you into one religion or another, or who wish to modify religions and churches to make them politically correct are obviously the targets of ire.
* SELF-GOVERNMENT. This should be fairly obvious. We just want to be left alone. We don't want someone telling us what to do or how to do it.
* TRADITION / CULTURE. It's important to teach your kids the importance of tradition and culture, and to connect them with their ancestors. They will see that any attempt to change or abolish certain traditions and cultures is really an attempt to destroy family / race.
Once you realize your victory conditions, once you commit yourself to achieving them, everything else will naturally fall into place. You'll know what to do, even how to do it.
I would like to add one more thing -- live NOW as if you have already won. Do not say "My enemy is stopping me." Do not give them that power! Fight NOW and take what you rightfully deserve. Live now, today, as if you have already won, and then fight every day to maintain that victory.
