In the books, the racism didn't make since because muggles could spontaneously develop magical abilities on par with or better than natural wizards, had no chance of diluting existing wizards, and came from roughly the same culture because they're all English at the end of the day. A social and societal argument could be made, but seeing how easily everyone slots into the new secret world, it would fall flat. But hey, that's fiction for you. All the ideology, none of the downsides
