The 'food argument' only works with an immigration policy that's tightly controlled. You only let in a limited number of vetted foreigners, and the entrepreneurs will apply their skillset to meet a demand, namely cooking food. But of if you open the gates to the hordes, the vast majority of them aren't going to be opening any businesses, let alone restaurants. Most of them probably aren't even going to be cooking for themselves, as most will be single men. And the ethnic restaurants that do get established in their enclaves won't be welcoming to any faggot white liberals.
