Very clever map that gives you a good idea of the state of Europe in 1942

Obviously Germany is the biggest nation, and Kingdom of Italy second biggest since they were the largest axis powers in Europe. Vichy France is not fighting since it was officially neutral. Francoist Spain is also included because it sent volunteers (Blue Divsion) even though it was neutral. The other Axis nations, Kingdom of Hungary, Kingdom of Romania and Slovak State are smaller, but still marching alongside germany, as is Finland (axis co-belligerent) and Norway (Quisling government). Ukraine is seen tied up, as are the 3 Baltic states which are bound to a pole, symbolizing their brutal occupation. The United Kingdom is Hugging a smaller caricature of the Soviet Union, representing the Anglo Soviet Pact. Portugal was still neutral, considering what it should do.
