There is no point to argue with the guy, he is severely disturbed. You cannot reason with him. Nothing you say will change his mind because he's been fully psychologically defeated. This is not a person that has the capacity to see anything positive. In his mind.. everything has to be turned to negativity, loss, and hopelessness.

He is the type of person that you would not want to be around or interact with if you actually saw him in person, but because he can hide behind the mask of a username online.. Hes free to spread his defeatism fetish during his depressive episodes. I honestly think he gets off to it or something.

I wouldn't call him disturbed, just paralyzed. And I understand it; if I didn't have the Faith that I have I would probably be right there with him. I've told him to focus more on positive examples instead of negative ones, but there ain't much more I can do than that.
