Religion doesn't matter, huh? That's an intelligent statement right there. The Romans before Christianity were not Christian, they tolerated jews. For they were slaves up until they were not. Romans were pagans. Fiercely ethnocentrist pagans, right up until the rich needed slaves to work the fields, then they pushed the priests to not be ethnocentrists.


Let's strip a people of religion. What do we have? People who will believe in anything. The current religion of the West is that the state is a god that must be obeyed and worshipped. All people will eventually find something to worship as a religion. If you do not give them one, they will make one up. The fact that you don't know this means either you're stupid or you're a subversive jew trying to advocate for atheism, which is jewish.
