Indra, Zeus, thor, these are all the same being, worshipped by the scythian tribes who conquered the world and created civilization. They worshipped fire as the giver of life ad light and what set humans apart, and the king if the gods was a warrior who controlled the rain and lightning and thunder. This was all legend expanding around ancestor worship - indra was a real king. The aryans, a scythian tribe who conquered south, brought their language and their religion with them - the rig veda, in it which indra is the king of the gods. The proto Iranians also had an indra in their religion - he was a demon destroyer who destroyed them long ago. This was most likely a reference to the destruction of the harrapan civilization.

Throughout time you see syncretism add other bigger gods and alter stories and diminish the originals (indra gets overshadowed by Shiva, Thor gets overshadowed by Odin, Zeus becomes a lecher), but with sanskrit, the original scythian language, the way the language is used is so specific to sound transfer that it is incredibly stable to keep it's integrity over the eons. Because of its design we have the rig veda in an extremely accurate form. We have the texts about what our ancestors in fact worshipped and how and why. I would recommend anyone on a path of racial enlightenment, cultural enlightenment, religious growth, or historical growth read it. The other vedas and mahabarhata are good to read as well, but only after reading the rig veda and understanding it's the only source material all the rest are fanfic

It's impossible to know anything for certain but there are texts of the rig veda written actual millenia ago still in existence. As far as Atlantis, almost all ancient civilizations have a story about coming from somewhere else, a paradise that was swallowed by the sea. This Atlantis is, I believe, a legend ism of the flooding of the Mediterranean basin.

I think our ancestors developed and evolved in the Mediterranean basin when it was land plugged at Gibraltar. This would've been a perfect refugium for life and civilization to flourish in. Wheb the Gibraltar plug broke and flooded the basin it would've destroyed everything except those few left on the outskirts - who were probably fairly outcast anyway - as a survivor culture in small isolated pockets. Thus would've developed over eons into what we begin to see in closer prehistory. Noah's flood etc comes from this cataclysm.

Atlantis abd friends also could be a story of closer in time origin around the end of the last glacial maximum. When the ice was strong and the waters were low, the coasts were different. Man ALWAYS lives on the coast. The water is trade food and transportation. Water is life. Those waters start to rise and those civilizations are gone buried under the ocean, leaving only stories and memories. It's probably a mixture of both.

So is it possible? Yes.
