This, God gave us animals to use and take care of, not as replacements for actual children and grandchildren. Cats are excellent deterrents of disease carrying vermin and agricultural pests. I would imagine small dogs fulfill a similar function, but it always disgusts me to see people who use their dogs and cats as a replacement for children and grandchildren they should have had, but sacrificed on the altar of Materialistic Careerism.

as a young lad i always saw dogs as companions to children because both are playful

cats are useful at keeping mice at bay, but not the regular house cats--Ferals that is

they hunt mice out of instinct and not out of hunger, because cat food (goyslop but for the feline) has completely addicted their taste buds to human food instead of foraging for actual rodents

i feed my garden gypsies seldomly so they're hungry enough to hunt for rodents, snakes and other vermin (2 years ago i saw one munching down on a small snake, these ferals are the real deal)

Ive heard that they actually hunt better when well fed, since theyre in better shape. But cat-slop makes them sick half of the time since its made of stuff cats were never meant to consume.

whenever the cats present me with a successful hunt, i just give them regular human food

tuna fish for example, they go berserk over that shit (literally would fight each other to the death just to eat it)
