i can write up all the changes: they fucking ruined Athena's voice actor to some generic amerifat woman who tries to sound greek

[they completely fucked the God's portraits](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7bD2WWBonU) so unless you enable the DLC (which just enables the classic portraits back, albit with some busts reduced/covered up) the game is fine

it really feels like the art directors were all fat White Women, which at least made the [Males look like all aryan, all blonde, all blue-eyed gigachads](https://pomf2.lain.la/f/ffpt8o4j.png)

but all the women were made to look as plain as possible, esp the Norse women

the biggest changes except the graphics is obviously the fucking God-powers, God-powers can be now re-used and it only costs favor, Favor has been buffed MASSIVELY and the cap has been removed, so now the 200 favor cap is removed and you can basically hoard it for when you need it for a siege or defense

some units were improved/nerfed, costs have been changed (ranged myth units like the Medusa now cost wood instead of gold)

overall... the graphics and physics and gameplay improvements are a net benefit to the game, the art direction is worse, the voice acting is... different

like Arkantos now speaks with a Greek accent instead of his regular american accent, some myth units also have some flavor to them (Minators sound bullish and centuars Neigh mid-sentence, i like it overall)

overall would i recommend playing it? Yes.

would i recommend buying it? No.

plenty of dudes are still playing the original version on game-ranger, the non-HD version still looks serviceable if you don't mind the low-poly units

P.S the new soundtrack is faithful to the original, but i still prefer the original.

Just a guess but that was the year Ruby Ridge happened.

Ironically half of those symbols look like they belong in some mathematical equation. One of them is straight up a not-equals sign.
