youtube turning into a gay shithole has nothing to do with too many people joining, it's people in charge deciding what they want the narrative to be.

youtube could easily sustain millions of clips and billions of comments about hitler and fathate and homo hate, the yt leadership and the laws of the countries decided against it.

You're looking at the wrong metric. HUMAN ATTENTION is the finite resource. If I have to sort through gigaquads of shit to get to the 1kb of good information, then that is the issue.

Search engines, if not neutered, are very powerful. You are already sorting through gigaquads of shit.

Youtube and other platforms turned to shit because they intentionally allow you to see exactly 0 kb of information of the stuff they don't want you to see.

All the delicate topics are not banned because more people are joining. The vast majority of people would give 0 fucks about "controversial content".

"Controversial content" is banned solely because the people in charge wanted it banned.

All the faggot content for example is not made by the majority of people, it's a small minority doing it and being pushed in front by the owners.
