When my boy was one or so, he started to fall down some steps. I was playing my Martin guitar which is worth a couple grand. I threw that guitar to the cement ground without a thought and grabbed my boy.
It's not much, but afterwards I was proud of myself for not giving a fuck about my favorite guitar to save my son from injury. You never know if you have that instinct until you're confronted with the situation. This poor faggot should be suicidal with shame.
