With how atomized the family has become in the West (intentionally), where kicking out kids at 18, moving far away for a job, forcing everyone to get their own house (where now most can't afford one), and not sticking close by to family, all became normalized, most boomers have zero idea how bad things have gotten for the younger generations. This is also why most younger people see boomers as stuck up, entitled, and selfish, because they largely are. But, they were brainwashed like the rest of us.
