It's not cockiness. You are wrong, plain and simple. Fuck doesn't have a single meaning. It has 40. Slang is USEFUL as an adjective for this very reason. It is seen as crass because of this same reason. Because it reduces the use of other vernacular and so is deemed "low brow". You see it in this light because you were told to. You think you are on some righteous pedestal when in reality you are perpetuating a false narrative by repeating what you've been told like a sheep.
