This man had a fucking bead on reality, it's almost eerie. His ability to translate his observations into poignant words is also exceedingly rare and uncanny.

He was an absolute genius. He read tons of books, and acquired a deeper knowledge from them than normal people would acquire reading that same book.
When I read a difficult book I have the feeling that I'm not getting the 100% of it; I'm only understanding a part of it, and an even smaller part is memorized for my future use. Imagine reading a book and understanding 100% and remembering 100%.
It's like in the movie Limitless.

And even having said all that, I still have the feeling that Hitler was divinely inspired. Learning about Hitler is what came to closest to convince me that there is a God up there looking at us and intervening in mysterious ways.

Divine inspiration, yes. Because he didn't just have knowledge. He had the ability to formulate ideas that were hitherto undiscovered. He *invented* a whole new Weltanschauung and almost a religion.

I read a good biography about Hitler that was explaining how Hitler was and saw himself as a prophet.

He's certainly the most influential man in history after Jesus Christ and Muhammad.

Sounds like a hand of God moment. Perhaps he was leading him.

What is absolutely incredible is that if you put me in front of this text without telling me where it's from, I'd immediately recognize that it's Hitler's.
Not because I remember it; but because of the style, the way it has to make a point, and the depth and wisdom within it.
