This explains the childhood mindset very well.
When you are young, you have less problems and less responsibilities(at least in modern consoomer society, back in the day, you were expected to grow up quickly), ergo, what you view as "the worst thing ever" is going to seem silly once you grow up to an adult, since your child brain basically picked somthing to be an enemy with because you had no real struggles back then. When you are an adult, you get real problems, and real enemies.
That is probably most plebbit atheists right there, children who have no real problems or real enemies to rally against, so they consoom some jewtube videos and base "their" opinions off of them, like a mimicking crow.
