Yes traitors are the worst and deserve what's coming to them. But killing a traitor deprives the enemy of one soldier, converting him denys the enemy 2.
Additionally, the ones tempting, brain breaking and propagandizing our fellows into the arms of evil are a significant threat. Once dealt with the majority of people, who like it or not will follow the leader regardless of quality, will fall in line behind the new power
