I’d rather not trust my life to a striker fired handgun, but I get why people would trust Glocks which have been brilliantly marketed.

I mean...a vast majority of handguns are striker fired nowadays. And as far as I know, there's never been any serious drawbacks. I have some of both, and I can't say I really prefer it either way, but I definitely carry a striker-fired pistol so there aint no hammer in the way.

The vast majority of budget friendly guns are striker fired these days. Even HK put out the VP9 which I'm sure is a fine gun. I've shot both and I trust my P30 over my Glock or Springfield by a wide margin.

I've got an M&P M2.0 9mm with a 5.5 inch barrel, that thing shoots like a dream, and I carry the performance center variant of the M&P Shield plus. Love those two guns.
