My father died from lukemia+chemotherapy when he was in his early 30s. My neighbor was the same, but he was somewhere around 60-70. Both were outwardly healthy and vibrant until chemo. I was too young to see my dad's decline (he wouldn't let me say goodbye even, told my mom he didn't want me to see how weak he had become), but I saw my neighbor become a shell for the last 6 months of his life. I'd rather just die than do chemo.
The good news is that your soul is eternal and you will meet him again in the next realm. Also our ancestors live through us.
